The Trailer (Attack The Block)

While Americans may be fighting the good fight against alien invasion on the shores of LA in Battle: Los Angeles, a similar fight rages on in South London. Though instead of marines and heavy artillery, London's taking them on with teen gangs and super soakers. Check out the trailer for Attack The Block starring Paul (coming to theaters this Friday) and Shaun of the Dead alum Nick Frost.

The 2011 Moviegeddon is seriously in love with aliens. Maybe there should be a movie where we just give up the planet. Not necessarily lose, but just leave instead. I hear Mars is nice this time of year. Anyway, Attack The Block lands in the UK on May 13, but no word as to when it hits the shores of the US.

Dream on.

The Office (of 3.11.11)

Welcome to Box Office Tuesdays. I know, it doesn't really make sense since all this data usually surfaces on Mondays, but I've got pretty busy Mondays as it is, so you'll have to deal with a day late. Check out the top ten movies of the past weekend.

The Week (of 3.13.11)

Week 11 of 2011 and the hits just keep on coming...mostly. In theaters this week is Limitless staring everyone's new favorite, Bradley Cooper. It releases alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's new comedy Paul. On the small screen Chuck is back this week and there are plenty of other new episodes of your favorite shows as well. It's kind of a light week for video games with Homefront being the biggest of them, and a new entry in the tennis series, Top Spin 4 hits all consoles. Lastly, on DVD and Blu-Ray this week comes another Oscar nominee for best picture, The Fighter, but if that's too serious for you, you can always check out Sharktopus.

The Trailer (6)

Are you a fan of ridiculous comedies starring guys who refuse to grow up? Sigourney Weaver? Aliens? Well if you're not a fan of aliens you're going to have a hard time with majority of this year's blockbusters, but if you are into all the other stuff, and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, then you'll probably into Paul. Paul is the story of the aforementioned gentlemen traveling the US when they encounter an alien outside of, you guessed it, Area 51. Still interested? Check out the red band trailer even if you're not, it could change your mind.

Early reviews are in for the film and state while it may not be up to par with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, it's still a fun ride. Count me in. Paul hits theaters March 18.

Dream on.
